Crescendo is an open-source task manager and calendar for the Mac. Hand any to-do to Claude Code, then review what comes back.

Less juggling.
More done.
A to-do list that hands the busywork to agents, plans around your calendar and waits for your yes.
Lists, calendar, focus timer and agent runs share one native window, so work never leaves the place it started.
Pick a task and press Delegate. Claude Code works on it in your own environment, with your tools and keys, while the to-do shows live progress.
Connect mail, chat and your calendar. Anything addressed to you lands on your list with the source attached, so nothing waits in an unread thread.
Could you send the updated pricing deck before Friday?
Every finished run comes back as a diff, a draft or a short summary. Approve it, ask for changes in plain words, or take over by hand.
Describe what has to happen this week. Crescendo proposes focus blocks around your meetings and moves them when plans change, always as a suggestion you can take or leave.
SwiftUI, keyboard first, no web view anywhere. Go on, press a key.

Local-first, open source
Everything lives in a local database you can back up and export. Agents run through your own Claude Code install, so there is no account to create and nothing to sync.
Accent colours, a focus timer, quick actions, shortcuts for everything, and more on the way.
Nest projects as deep as you like and fold away what you are not working on.
Start a timer, hide everything else and see where your hours actually went.
SwiftUI, SQLite and the system calendar. Fast to open, light on battery.
Every action has a shortcut, and the command bar finds anything in a few keystrokes.
No account and no tracking. Your list is a file on your disk, and you decide what an agent may read.
v0.1
Move, finish, duplicate or delete a to-do from a native right-click menu.
Pick a cover from your own photos or the built-in set to tell projects apart at a glance.
Export everything to Markdown or JSON whenever you like. Your data is never locked in.
Choose any accent colour, or follow the one set in macOS. Try it on this page.
Keep the day's schedule next to your to-dos and drag tasks straight into free time.
Still curious? Once the repository is public, issues and discussions are open to everyone.
A chat window waits for you to type. Crescendo starts from your list: you mark a to-do as delegated, an agent works on it with real tools, and the result comes back to the same to-do for review.
Whatever your Claude Code setup can do: edit files in a repository, run scripts, search the web or draft text. You choose per task which folders and tools it may use.
Claude Code first, through its command-line interface. The backend is swappable, so other command-line agents can be added by the community.
Nothing is applied without your approval. You see the diff or the draft, ask for changes in plain words, or discard the run and do it yourself.
In a local SQLite database on your Mac. There is no Crescendo server and no telemetry. Agent runs go through your own Claude account and its terms.
Crescendo is free and open source under the MIT license. Running agents uses your existing Claude Code plan or API key.
Macs with Apple silicon. A companion for other devices may come later, and contributions are welcome.
